Vascular Studies

Vascular studies are non-invasive procedures performed to assess blood flow in arteries and veins. These tests use doppler ultrasound to determine vascular conditions throughout the body. No radiation is used, and the skin is not pierced.

You may be advised for vascular studies if you are experiencing early symptoms of decreased blood flow in arteries and veins in the arms, legs, and neck. They may also be performed to assess the effectiveness of previous procedures and vascular devices such as an A-V fistula.
